I have been a staff member at Camp Turner for 15 summers (and 6 winters) and as a board member of this wonderful organization, I really know and understand the meaning of giving. This group raises money to help under-privileged kids go to Camp Turner for a week during the summer. Since 2005 we have been assisting them with camperships, with money raised through donations and fund-raising events. In 2012, we helped over 50 kids get an opportunity to get outside, see nature and meet many new friends. The campers have told me how they can't wait to come back to camp next year and how they don't really want to even leave. Working with these kids and helping with fund-raising, I get to see both sides of the good that this group does. It is very deserving of the honor to be on the list of Top-Rated Nonprofits list!
