Friends Of Animal Services Inc

As a fellow volunteer at Pasco County Animal Services, I have seen first-hand, over the past 3 years, how friends of animal services has helped the shelter. Friends most recently help pay almost half of the cost for a brand new x-ray machine for the shelter. Previously the shelter had to ship out all animals to private vets to get x-rays completed. Friends organization also provided funds for their adoption event truck, all signage for the county ACO vans, all outside kennel and play areas and provides heartworm treatment for many of these animals so they can be adopted. The individual below a so-called animal (cat only)advocate who hates the shelter and anything and anyone associated with them. It's unfortunate "novette" tries to turn so many people away from a save 90 shelter!

I have seen more done with this nonprofit for animals than many others. As one of 300 volunteers for PCAS I can tell you that we do many things to save pups from being euthanized. We raise money for heartworm treatments so potential adopters will not be concerned over the heartworm reading. We network better than any other with rescue's to save pups on the list. Many of the volunteers donate hundreds out of their own pockets on top of the 1000's of hours of volunteer efforts. To the person claiming it is a farce you should become better informed.

Previous review is incorrect. I have never seen more dedicated professionals. In recent months this shelter has been turned around from a "high kill" to seeking fosters and adopters. Treating sick animals and reaching out to the general public to save and re-house the animals. Keep up the good work Pasco County. I will continue to support your efforts and hope others see the progress made on behalf of the animals.

Friends of Animal Services is a FARCE! They have done nothing to help the pets at Pasco County Animal Services.

They have donation boxes in the shelter; money is collected, but no financials are ever reported.

We have continually asked for financials and to attend their board meetings. To date, every meeting they have 'allowed' us to attend was cancelled last minute.

To date...we still have no answers. THIS IS NOT A REAL CHARITY; THEY DO NOTHING WITH THEIR DONATIONS TO HELP THE ANIMALS WITHIN THE WALLS OF PASCO COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES.
