Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: Friends of animal adoptions, inc. (the organization) is a minnesota non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent cruelty to animals; provide shelter, emergency and other medical care; and to find good adoptive homes for cats, dogs, and other animals. In addition, to provide support education and charity that promotes the health, safety, and welfare of these animals within a no-kill philosophy, and to assure that homeless animals that come into its care are provided a safe haven for as long as necessary.
Programs: Each year, animal ark cares for and finds new homes for nearly 1,000 pets. As a no-kill facility, animal ark will not end the life of a pet in our care unless it is terminally ill, or it is deemed a serious danger to people. Each pet we see is screened for potentially fatal illnesses, vaccinated, dewormed, provided with flea and tick prevention, microchipped and spayed or neutered. Additionally, we provide each pet with daily care, including food, water, training, socialization and medical care as needed until a new home can be found for them.

thrift store. The animal ark thrift & pet store located at 809 e. 7th street in st paul generates income for the shelter, the animals, and their care. Operated by a staff of dedicated volunteers, the store has many unique and upscale items for sale.
