I would never have my child volunteer for Friends of Accotink Creeks ever again. What a bad experience it was. He signed up for 2 cleanup events and stayed for an extra half hour after each event to get service hours for his school. When I called to request verification, the person anwering the phone was rude and nasty. He refused to give my son the extra hour that he was there afterwards. Wow, not even a thank-you for your time, just a bad attitude. I told him I would never volunteer for this organization again and his reply was “good!”
What a jerk!
If anyone ever consider donating to this organization, I strongly recommend you not to. Don’t waste your time and money here. Donate to some other organizations that will appreciate it.
