Probably 7 or 8 years ago, I had an epiphany and realized that I needed to become a better person and start helping in my community. Had you asked me to volunteer, I would have been, like, why??
I was perusing volunteer activities and found Wounded Paw Project. One was Ernesto loves dogs and, two, he was USAF. He even made me a Mid-Atlantic contact for WPP!
Since then, I've moved up in the world of volunteering, charities and non profits and it's a good place to be. Thank you, E
My favorite part about Wounded Paw is that they are committed at their core to saving the lives of dogs so that both humans and dogs can benefit from each other. Ernesto’s story about Daisy shows how necessary this kind of connection between a dog and its human is, a connection that I’ve also experienced in my life. They do this through hands-on work, advocating online, and more.
Wounded Paw Project focuses on some of the toughest animal abuse issues, helping animals as well as educating people about the cruelty and abuse they face. They are truly a voice for the voiceless.
Amazing group of people! I love them simply for what they do! Saving animal lives! The fact that they will help not just the normal pups but also the high risk animals that would normally be euthanized is absolutely awesome! Plus their website has sooooo much useful information about everyday dog life. I believe that if you are going to donate or volunteer for a canine charity organization, these guys are at the top of the worthy list!
Wounded Paw Project does an amazing job at helping dogs and animals. They are the leader in taking steps to protect animals at a federal level and I think that is just fantastic. The team is a wealth of knowledge and resources. If you need help getting involved in animal legislation, reporting animal abuse, finding a shelter, finding a service animal, etc... Make sure to get in touch with Wounded Paw.

Wounded Paw Project does so much more than just helping rehabilitate dogs. This organization is focused on stopping dog and animal cruelty at the source and pushing through to bring awareness to those who do not know where and how to make a difference. If you are interested in helping solve the issues that put animals (and humans) in danger of trafficking and abuse, get involved with the Wounded Paw Project.
The Wounded Paw Project has a unique approach to animal rescue, and it is evident in their convictions. They go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to assisting animals and the public. They're also involved in battling human trafficking, dog fighting, breed-specific legislation, and other issues that are important to them! I've always had an interest in anti-dog fighting, but what I didn't expect was to become involved in it myself.
As someone who is a pit bull owner, I resonate immensely with their initiatives to ban breed-specific legislation. They are a wonderful non-profit organization and they have my full support behind them.
Wounded Paw Project and its members are so committed to helping animals and the public. They go far beyond dog rescue and are actively working to fight human trafficking, dog fighting, breed-specific legislation, and so much more! I have always had the easiest time getting in contact with them and I so look forward to working with this organization for years to come! Donating and supporting this organization truly goes towards making a difference in many lives.
Wounded Paw Project is something I believe in, and wish I could do more to help them in their mission. I suffer with PTSD myself, already have a house full of animals and know the helping hand an animal can bring to someone who has extreme trouble trusting people. This is not a joke, nor is it something that should be overlooked. The men and women this charity helps have spent their lives helping others. I know I was there. In any event, saving two lives at once is not just saving two lives. If one animal leaves the shelter, that makes room for another animal to come in off of the streets. Please understand animals play a key part in our lives.
Hmm two reviews saying they are suspicious because No address, no phone number, no email listed. - But there they are right to the right, right here on this site -> and also on the site itself? How about making and attempt to contact them prior to leaving your opinions based on suspicions?
For those who can't push the "contact us" button, here it is again:

Somehow I got a mailing from them and sent some money. Then I got bombarded with mailings from other similar groups. I do not appreciate having my address shared.
I went to the website and clicked on the "contact us" and found no way to contact them. No phone number, no email address, no address. Mailings I continue to get of course have a mailing address, but still no phone number or email address. You would think they would want to make it easy to contact them. Makes me wary.
