Mission: The franklin land trust works with landowners and communities to protect the farms, forests and other natural resources significant to the environmental quality, economy and rural character of our region.
Programs: During the fiscal year of 2017, the franklin land trust assisted in the protection of 7 properties totaling 359 acres. As of the end of the fiscal year 2017, the franklin land trust has completed 390 projects, totaling 30,930 acres in 31 towns throughout western massachusetts. Flt's accomplishments in permanently protecting these lands benefits the public by providing wildlife habitat, clean air and water, productive farms and woodlands, and recreational opportunities. Support from flt members, donors and foundations is critical to conserving these vital resources for future generations.
