Mission: Over the past several decades, Syracuse's North Side has faded from it's once illustrious eclectic community infrastructure and fallen into a state of poverty and dispair. In 1998, the Immaculate Conception Province of the Conventual Franciscan Friars responded to the Bishop of Syracuse's call for action by reforming the Franciscan Church of the Assumption in Syracuse into a Conventual Church. This redesignation allowed for the creation of Franciscan Collaborative Ministries as the Church's vessel for enacting change and restoring peace and reconciliation to the North Side of Syracuse. Franciscan Collaborative Ministries now works through a variety of programs to improve the quality of life for the people of the City.
