Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Community & Neighborhood Development, Economic Development
Mission: Locally historic neighborhood that works with the city of muskogee to preserve and protect significant architecture and maintain the quality of life for all residents of the district. We also work to build neighborhood cohesion and pride among residents.
Programs: This organization works in conjunction with the historic preservation commission for the city of muskogee to identify grants for homeowners, clean-up and beautification services, plan street projects and other infrastructure upgrades. Founders place also works with the park department for the city of muskogee to manage community gardens and parks within the district by helping to write grants for new playground equipment benefitting neighborhood children and families, provide lawn mowing and water for the gardens, and act as a liaison with the muskogee police department to make sure the area is safe.
