Mission: Organization was formed to train foster youth leaders in many states to bring their voices to child welfare policymakers in order to improve their state foster care systems.
Programs: Foster youth in action is a national nonprofit supporting a grassroots movement of foster youth leaders and youth-led organizations working for just systems and equitable opportunities for the broad base of current and former youth in care. Foster youth in action was founded by california youth connection to grow its inspiring model of foster youth led organizing, and has twenty three partners in 20 states. Foster youth in action builds the capacity of foster youth as leaders and organizers; strengthens the capacity of youth led organizations; and connects a national movement of young leaders in foster care.
