Mission: Fcaa's mission is to connect alumni of foster care, and to work to improve the foster care system, ensuring equal opportunity for those in and from foster care.
Programs: Fcaa operates a national council of alumni of foster care to provide federal stakeholders with timely information about policies and practices that affect the children, youth and families, specifically with respect to foster care.
fcaa organized and operates state chapters to further its mission and to ensure that it is responsive to alumni of foster care. State chapters in turn connect with alumni of care and sponsor events and activities related to fcaa's mission.
fcaa provides training to foster youth transitioning from care and provides expert alumni as speakers and trainers. Fcaa also authored and sells "flux: life after foster care" to public and private agencies and individuals. This book provides valuable information to transitioning youth.
