Mission: Fort myers kiwanis foundation, inc is dedicated to serving the needs of children in the community through community service projects aimed at fostering education and providing support to local youth.
Programs: Fort myers kiwanis foundation sponsors the thomas alva edison kiwanis regional science and engineering fair. Each year, the organization provides judges, volunteers, and runs fundraising raffle tickets and souvineers. In addition, the organization helps winners with travel expenses to compete at the state and international science fairs. The foundation also provides support for the world atlas project for lee county. World atlas project provides 4th grade students with their own atlas to improve their knowledge in geography and cultures. This program has spread into six lee county school with hopes to expand into more schools.
