Causes: Education, Vocational & Technical Schools
Mission: To train persons for positions in the forest products industry operating timber harvesting equipment. To provide safety, productivity and efficiency training structured to provide entry level and specialized skills for the current job market. To offer assistance with job placement upon successful completion of the training.
Programs: The school enrolled 6 students during the year and 3 sudents graduated. 3 students were hired by private employers after completion of the program. To achieve these results, the school purchased timber stumpage which was then cut and loaded by the students using modern logging equipment. The logs were then sold to cover the cost of the program.
