This was my first time at this conference and it was wonderful. So much good information and training about a population that is often sensationalized by the media and then quickly swept under the carpet by the general public. I really enjoyed the speakers and was pleased by the amount of teaching and research that is available in this area. I look forward to attending again next year!
FMHAC deals with a subject and population that many people prefer not to think about. Fortunately, this association is willing to step in and provide education in the field of forensic mental health that ensures a well educated workforce. It also works to establish public policies that ensure care for the sick and protection of the public. FMHAC is an important and valuable resource to the forensic mental health field.
