Folklore S is helping realize my dream - they are attentive and pacient. They are helping by guiding me with thoughtful ideas in order to grow strong wings for this project. :)
I had the opportunity of participating in two events where Folklore Spectrum was involved in 2011. The first one was in March 2011 where I provided transportation for the Colombian Orchid Ballet from Houston, TX to Norman, OK. Through the six hour drive I got to know an enthusiastic group of people who are totally passionate about showcasing Colombian culture to the world. This was effectively done at Colombian Night 2011 at the University of Oklahoma where they awed the attendees with a great show of colors, energy and Colombian typical dances. The second event I was involved with took place in May 2011 at the Banquete del Millon in Houston, TX. Folklore Spectrum's leader Felipe Acosta did an outstanding job at organizing a group of volunteers so the message of helping build a better Colombia could be carried along to the attendees. The event went flawless thanks to the great organisation and discipline shown by the board and the volunteers. Once again, the Colombian Orchid Ballet performed with lots of energy and transported us to the land of magical realism for some instants through a display of colorful dances.

Thank you Felipe Gallego for your words! We are very happy that you felt the colors of Colombia with the Colombian Orchid Ballet and we agree with you "We should try to aim for the stars ... the worst that could happen is to reach the clouds"
While living in Houston I was priveledged to be an honorary member of the local Colombian community and had multiple opportunities to witness the unfolding of some very talented young individuals. I am currently living in Colombia and look forward to working with Folklore Spectrum on some upcoming projects upon my return to the States.

I had the opportunity to visit one of their rehearsals last summer. I was very impressed with the young talent and dancers that passionately perform cultural dances. The director, Felipe Acosta, is a great leader and instructor, allowing each participant to contribute creatively to the group. Folklore Spectrum is a great organization that positively influences society through the dissemination of arts through performances of Latin American culture. They have my support on all their future projects and charity events.
