Mission: The Florida Bat Center was established in 1994 as a private non profit organization for the purpose of protecting and preserving Florida's native bats. The Bat Center provides educational programs for schools, and speakers for local environmental and civic organizations. Our staff and volunteers are making a difference in the attitudes and perceptions held by the general public about bats. The Florida Bat Center works with rehabilitators throughout Florida so injured or orphaned bats can be cared for around the state. We also provide information to homeowners on how to exclude bats from their residences without injuring them.
