The Florida Association of Veteran Owned Businesses is becoming well known in the State of Florida as a premiere Chamber of Commerce. Their members consist of veterans and civilians alike, supporting each other to succeed in the communities in which they all live and work in. They are currently growing throughout the State with Chapter’s opening soon in Tampa and the Space Coast region. If you’re a Business Professional and you are looking to become involved with a worthwhile cause, then you really need to look at teaming up with the Florida Association of Veteran Owned Businesses – also known as – FAVOB!
I'm a proud sponsor of the Florida Association of Veteran Owned Businesses. This organization is constantly bringing value to it's members and to its corporate sponsors. Throughout the recent months, they have created educational platforms for those who wish to become an entrepreneur, as well as set aside opportunities at the enterprise level for those that already own their own business. They are currently working to create these same set aside opportunities at the state governmental levels as well.
Great people, excellent organization! Their commitment and dedication to serving the Veteran-Owned business sector is admirable.
It's great to have an organization that provides support to our veteran entrepreneurs. FAVOB provides networking opportunities where we can share experiences, provide support and grow our businesses locally. It's great to be able to meet minded individuals who share a love for country and an entrepreneur spirit.
This is an awesome Chamber, but it's more like an awesome HUGE Family of Veteran Business Owners and those of us committed to their success. The After Hours Event last week was truly an energized environment and an awesome fishing hole for Opportunities, Decision Makers and Potential Strategic Alliances. Kudos to the entire TEAM, BOARD and Membership.
I know a member and this is definitely an organization that you want to be a part of. If you're looking to promote any start up business this is the place to come. Be a part of and support others like you.
Many veterans go without purpose or guidance which leads to failure and in my case homelessness. I was very fortunate to have a support team that brought be back on my feet several years ago. Veterans in many cases we do not ask for help or handouts causing many to end up in the predicaments we most end up in. The chamber is dedicate to the betterment our communities and our veterans along helping veteran owned businesses have a voice. Best choice I ever made.
FAVOB has been helping military men and woman in return for their service and sacrifices they have done for our country support that empowers and enables them to lead confident and productive lives. Helping them connect with companies that hire veterans....helping entrepreneurs connect with the right people to achieve their dreams. I am not a veteran but I have quite a few family members that have served this country and did not have an organization to help them after they came from the war with opportunities to achieve their dreams. This is what attracted me to be a member of this great organization and what they stand for.
The Florida Association of Veteran Owned Businesses is a 501C6 Non-Profit Chamber of Commerce for Civilians and Veterans alike. We have monthly Board Meetings and Business After Hours Networking Events. Bi-monthly symposiums with educational breakout sessions for those who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs.
Our primary mission is as follows:
We believe that if you have served our country and done so honorably than there should be a real opportunity to start and grow your own business in the State of Florida. Our great state has the third largest Veteran population and yet it remains one of 31 states without Veteran Small Business programs. Our state The only way that will change is if we come together and support Veteran entrepreneurs, whether they are starting off or well heeled, continue to serve by creating jobs and leverage the leadership, dedication, and skills our nation helped them develop for war to bring prosperity in local communities.
Our secondary mission is as follows:
We strive to bring civilian and veteran business professionals together so they can exchange services and solutions in order to enhance their business models. Supporting each others businesses within the community in which we all live and work in.
