Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Mental Health, Mental Health & Crisis Intervention
Mission: To increase pet adoption, to improve the quality of life for shelter animals and to promote responsible pet ownership.
Programs: Primary and specific purpose is to raise funds to meet the needed support of the flathead county animal shelter in finding loving homes for every adoptable pet (dogs and cats), to increase pet adoption, to improve the quality of life for shelter animals and to promote responsible pet ownership through our fund-raising efforts. This past year we have successfully raised funds to provide oxygen masks for every fire department in the flathead to be used for cats and dogs. We have enlarged the kennels at the shelter by laying concrete, installing fencing and a guillotine door so the dogs can have access inside and outside. When the population of dogs is high, the inside/outside kennels can become two kennels, if necessary. We have raised the funds to install air conditioning to provide comfort for the employees and the animals and create an airflow that will eliminate the exchange of air between the kennels which reducing the spread of disease.
