The Foundation is an absolute wonderful opportunity for young athletes with a passion to play ball, but without the means by which to do so. The players receive expert coaching and training with a grueling schedule designed to emulate that of a big league ball club. The Foundation has grown in to four teams with a wealth of alumni and professional ball players. The rewards go much further than on the field, but into the classroom as well as other life experiences. The FBF sets its players up for the best possible experiences of success. Everybody involved in the Foundation has a positive attitude and passion for the players as well as the cause.
I have played in this program when it was just starting and when it was much bigger and I have always had a great time. I love the way First Base Foundation allows all kids to play baseball with them no matter their economic background. I am very satisfied with the opportunities they have provided me and am excited to keep playing with them. I have always gotten very helpful and encouraging coaching and they have made me feel like a big part of the team.
