Causes: Community Improvement & Capacity Building
Mission: As a part of rotary international, the firebaugh rotary club's mission is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards and to advance the world understanding, goodwill and peace through its fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.
Programs: The firebaugh rotary club's main service project includes granting scholarship money to local students attending institutions of higher learning and to support local organizations in providing services to the local community. There have been twelve (12) individual and two organizations that received firebaugh rotary funds and in 2013.
the firebaugh rotary club participates in the firebaugh community christmas dinner every year. This annual event provides a free traditional christmas dinner to anyone in the community wanting to partake. Santa claus is on hand for pictures and toys 4 tots provides gifts for children in attendence. Annually about 500 meals are served.
the firebaugh rotary club works with the firebaugh regional health council to support the firebaugh computer learning center, a free computer center helping to provide computer and internet access to area residents, all free of charge. In 2013 the firebaugh rotary club paid the expenses related to providing wireless internet access to the computer center.
