Causes: Ambulatory & Primary Health Care, Health
Mission: To provide a forum to facilitate multi-agency collaboration to address health, safety and quality of life issues for the citizens of firebaugh and surrounding communities.
Programs: The frhc operates the children's corner, a preschool program that utilizes a dual-language cirriculum. Students of all income levels are accepted; there is no maximum income requirement. We believe we provide a safe and fun learning environment for children of a variety of backgrounds in a culturally competent manner.
frhc also operates the firebaugh computer learning center in firebaugh. Local residents can access the computer lab until 7pm at night for at no charge. We maintain about 25 computers all of which have high speed internet access as well as popular word processing programs.
the community christmas dinner has been the longest running of fhrc's projects, with this being our 24th year. Volunteers in our organization host a traditional holiday dinner at a local school cafeteria for local area residents. Dinner is free, as is a picture with santa claus; each child receives a holiday gift as well.
