My 18 year old indoor cat snuck out of the house. We thought she went outside to meet her maker. We found out through our neighborhood app that she was taken to Ferrell Hallow. She survived in the woods surrounding our house for TWO MONTHS before the humane society picked her up and sent her to the sanctuary. Cindy Myers is a saint. It took 9 days in intensive care and Cindy’s care, and my Bella seems to be getting better each day. Bella is really a miracle cat, thanks to all the folks at Ferrell Hallow.

They take in cats and horses that need help, including seniors who often slip between the cracks. They have the greatest hearts and take such great care of all of them. I am proud to make monthly donations to help with their work.

I live far far away in the Netherlands. On tv and in the newspapers we see/read mostly not nice news from your country, so that one would most forget that there are so many societies in your country that help animals who need a home, extra care etc. I love the stories, cry or laugh.
Keep up the good work, hope donations will increase. Love from Will from Hengelo, the Netherlands

Ferrell Hallow Farm is an amazing nonprofit. My family and I have visited the Ferrel Hallow Farm twice. The volunteers and the owner Cindy are wonderful and extremely welcoming. Spending time with the senior horses and cats is such a beautiful experience. The purpose of the nonprofit is heartwarming. Ferrell Hallow Farms takes in senior cats and horses who usually come from neglected environments and they are able to live out the rest of their lives in a loving and caring place. I would absolutely recommend visiting Ferrell Hallow Farms when they have their open houses!

Ferrell Hollow takes in some very vulnerable, often medically challenging, and often senior horses and cats that most wouldn't fight for but euthanize. They put so much dedicated care into these animals, and it is tremendous to see there transformations from physical wreck to a solid state of health. More than physical though is the emotional transformation from a neglected or abused soul shut down to a curious, loving, happy soul. When a health condition deteriorates and the animal is unable to have a good quality of life, they are lovingly ushered out of this life, and sorely grieved.

I am so proud to be a small part of this incredible organization. The love and care they give to their horses and kitties is beyond compare. There are horses who have been abused and overworked and headed to slaughter and cats that are wounded ,injured, and otherwise desperate for care. It is a 24/7, seven day a week commitment with great expense involved. I believe they deserve your consideration. Thank You!

On Thanksgiving Evening, 2018, after only an 8 day stay in the hospital, I lost my husband of 34 yrs to cancer. Lost my house, my car and was about to lose my pets of over 10 years until Cindy Myers and Dawn Roberts stepped in and took them to Ferrell Hollow Farm. Although I did what I could to support the farm for their care, the relief was not monetarily appreciated as much as the emotional relief. They were my children and I had devoted my life, along with my husband to the care of our animals. After spending 6 wks in the hospital myself, due to seizures, in which time Cindy and Dawn traveled between Springfield and Murfreesboro to see that they were fed and watered every day until they got to the farm. The relief to know that my babies would be taken care of, can never be fully repaid by all the money in the world, but let me encourage you to send what you can to this sanctuary who does everything they can for as many as they can. they are and always will be above reproach and my go to charity for any donation I can make. God Bless every critter who is fortunate to be in your care..........Diane Deason, 315 Blue Beard Dr. No. Ft Myers Fl. 33917

I am and have been involved with Ferrell Hollow Horse and Cat Sanctuary for several years. I have become unable to physically support Ferrell Hollow anymore due to age, but am always happy to donate as I can. I have cried and laughed with owner, Cindy Myers and if I had a daughter, I would want her to be just like Cindy. It is always about whats best for the animal, and never about money. Once at Ferrell Hollow these elderly animals stay in a loving, stable place until they cross the rainbow bridge. Cindy is deserving of any and all help she can be given for she truly honors the words " A righteous man cares for the needs of his animals" and this goes for all creatures Great and Small. Please make a determined choice to help her with a good donation to continue her work, for which she has spent her life. So many has she saved from pain and misery, and always wanting to help more

My heart is with this group! They allow a dignified retirement for elder cats and hard working horses. I’ve always said if I won the lottery I’d open a retirement home for elder horses. I probably won’t win the lottery, but I can support the love these kind people give their charges.

I have sponsored and volunteered for this amazing senior sanctuary! Senior horses who have been sold to auctions or just left to die have spent their final years here with love and such care! The senior cats are saved from animal control after owners no longer want them is one example as to how they come to live their best lives! ❤️❤️❤️

I live in Central New York State so I've never had the chance to go to Ferrell Hollow. But I have followed them for a number of years through the happy times and the sad ones. Cindy and her helpers have changed the lives of so many four legged babies. Most of them never knew love until they came to live at Ferrell Hollow. They now have the chance to live their best lives ever. Cindy is totally devoted to all of their health and happiness. She truly is Momma to them all and they love her back ❤ If anyone can open their hearts and donate to Ferrell Hollow's work that would be wonderful.

Ferrell Hallow Farm. Is the most amazing sanctuary for abused or neglected senior horses and cats. All their precious animals are rescued and given the medical care that is needed. They are all given an enormous amount of tender loving care. Videos and photos are regularly posted so donors and friends get to see the personalities of every animal. If I could increase my donations to thousands of dollars a month, I would. I give what I can. I purchase items from the needed from their shopping lists that are posted on fb. Amazon has a program that donates a portion of your purchases to Ferrell Hollow Farm.
There are no words that can recommend this non profit organization strongly enough. Please check out their website. It will warm your heart to see the horses and cats that are living their seniors years at their forever home..

It has been a few years ago that I started following Ferrell Hollow Farm. It is amazing and brings great joy witnessing the healing and love they accomplish . They are gifted. Large and small animals live on with their caring and extensive knowledge that is endless. They also do fund raising themselves with gatherings and online purchases of donated beautiful animal paintings, ornaments etc! They show us how knowledge WORKS. Thank you just doesn’t say it❤️

Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse Sanctuary is a wonderful resource for senior horses and cats. Founder, Cindy Myers is very knowledgable about senior draft horses and provides the utmost care for the horses in her care. The lack for nothing. The senior cats also receive the best care. They all get personnel attention, nutritious food, medical care, Ferrier care, grooming, housing and lots of love. I have visited the sanctuary and was very impressed with the property, the cleanliness the beauty and the attention to detail. Cindy runs a tight ship. These animals are happy as demonstrated by their relaxed attitude. I am happy to support a sanctuary that is respected by its peers, run by a professional that has a sincere passion to rescue senior horses and cats in need of a place to call home.

I stumbled across Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse and Cat Sanctuary while I was looking for an animal charity to support. I wanted a small one because I figured they needed the most help. What I saw was a woman and some other people with her desperately trying to come up with enough funds to save a horse from going on to a slaughter house. She was able to save the horse and take it back to her farm in Tennessee. I went to the web site and was impressed with the work done there. I was impressed even more when Ms. Myers, (the owner), also started adopting senior cats.
In 2017 my husband and I had the pleasure of visiting the Sanctuary and meeting Ms. Myers and her volunteers. We were also given access to all the horses and cats. I can attest to the fact that all the animals receive excellent care and are LOVED. While there I was able to meet Liz, the horse I was partially supporting. It was a great thrill and not one I will ever forget.
Although I am not able to donate as much as I'd like, I feel secure in knowing that the money is used exactly what is for. Saving and giving the horses and cats the best life they have possibly ever had. I wholeheartedly recommend this non-profit to anyone who might be looking for a wonderful animal sanctuary to support.

I stumbled across this charity a few years ago while I was trying to find a worthy animal nonprofit to support. I saw a video of the owner, Cindy Myers, trying to come up with enough money to buy a draft horse from an auction. Her passion was palatable. I later went to the website to check it out. I was very impressed with the care and compassion she showed to her senior horses who deserved a better life than they had experienced before she saved them. It didn’t matter to her that they were old and broken, she loved them all and showed them love and respect. I decided this was the nonprofit I was looking for.
When she added saving senior cats to mix, it was even better. She was saving two of my favorite animals.
Although my funds are limited and I give what I can, I feel welcomed whenever I communicate with anyone at the Sanctuary.
No one cares more, or loves their animals more than Ferrell Hollow Farm. These poor neglected and abused horses and cats are loved and given a wonderful life until their final days are over. They know what it is to be loved.

Up close and personal, I have seen the miracles happen to the horses and cats that come to Ferrell Hollow Farm. From being starved, neglected, and worse, they blossom under the appropriate medical care, good nutrition, safe and well-tended pastures, and consistent kindness from Cindy Myers and her volunteers and assistants. It restores your faith in humans to watch an older horse or cat go from being hurt or abandoned, fearful or angry, to being calm and trusting and healed. This is most definitely a worthwhile non-profit to support and follow and perhaps visit when Cindy's Open House events can be resumed.

I've supported Ferrell Hollow's work for several years. As an advocate for humane treatment of animals, I've been incredibly impressed with the staff's care of their animals. Draft horses, simply because of their size, are a handful to rehabilitate and care for through their senior years. Ferrell Hollow's commitment to these gentle giants is exemplary. Senior cats, who are often left to languish (or worse) in shelters, come to Ferrell Hollow to live out the remainder of their lives in clean, safe surroundings. Ferrell Hollow's staff respect and care deeply for the animals in their care. They honor an animal's end of life with love and compassion. Their transparent communications with the public provide an open look at the facilities and the animals' conditions, along with the beauty and, yes, the pain of caring for animals who are in their last years and so often come from a background of severe neglect and abuse. I respect Ferrell Hollow's staff very much, and will continue to support their work with the older creatures who have the good luck to land in their care. From the largest horse (Mike, my personal favorite, see him below with Executive Director Cindy) to the smallest cat, these animals are living their very best life at Ferrell Hollow. I'm completely comfortable recommending that you support Ferrell Hollow.

I volunteered for 5 months with Ferrell Hollow Farm and have nothing but good things to say about the incredible work that Cindy and others do to ensure that senior horses and cats have the best retired life. I watched the progress of horses under FHF’s care from the day they arrived starving from a slaughter auction to many months later, thriving and beautiful. Each animal receives the best care tailored to their specific needs. Ferrell Hollow Farm is truly one of the best places that senior animals can land to enjoy a happy, peaceful retirement.

Ferrell Hollow Farm is an incredible, loving, compassionate, hard working, senior horse and cat sanctuary. Cindy is the owner and I have volunteered with her since Fall of 2013. I have never been around horses so being around rescued Drafts who were bound for slaughter or in the horrendous PMU industry was an eye opening experience. Go big or go home, right?!! Cindy is so patient and a great educator in teaching me about these beautiful horses in how to approach them, feed them, keep their stalls clean, how to put salves on them, and just overall general care. Her knowledge of how to take care of all the animals is top notch! She knows exactly what they need. I fell in love with this caring non profit sanctuary where every single penny is spent on the horses and now senior cats needs until the day they cross over to Rainbow Bridge. The majority of the horses and some of the cats have never known what love or compassion was and now they do. The transition from when they come off the trailer, emancipated, until just a few months later after Cindy has taken care of them, is an incredible change. It just goes to prove that kindness and compassion does make a huge difference. If you are looking for a non profit where 100% of your donations goes to the complete care of the rescued Senior horses and cats then this is the purrrfect place for you. Please visit their website or look them up on Facebook.

I have volunteered at Ferrell Hollow Farm’s cathouse since March 2018 and am so glad for the accident of discovering them. Time spent there is always the favorite part of my week.

Cindy Myers has created a beautiful sanctuary as a last stop of hope for elder horses and cats who would otherwise have no one to care for them. Many of these animals have led horrific lives and have faced likely euthanasia at local shelters or death at slaughter auctions before finding their way here.

There’s a staggering amount of physical work and funds and heart needed for the number of animals Cindy is managing, but she has brought together a group of volunteers and a Facebook community of supporters with a focus on giving these sweet souls the quality of life they deserve for the rest of their lives. I am so glad that I get to be a part of that.

I myself being a senior hope when I'm "used up" I can find a place to spend my last days as wonderful, loving and caring as Ferrell Hollow. I have been following Ferrell Hollow on Face Book for 5 years and donate when I'm able and sometime when I really don't have it to spare.
Cases come up that I can't resist to donate to save a horse from slaughter. Ferrell Hollow is a wonderful sanctuary for both the horses and cats. Cindy and the people who volunteer and work there do a great job taking care of the animals needs. They not only take care of their needs but give them love and kindness. The area that the senior cats are in is always being build onto for a more comfortable environment. Just recently a Catio was added so they can get some fresh air. They go out of their way if you contact them to respond and help you. I really don't know where they find the time. Last year I bought tickets for a raffle they were having, I was lucky and won a prize. I really didn't need what I won so I contributed it back to them. I contacted them and they were very kind and grateful.

I am overwhelmed with the care and love they have for these beautiful animals. They were taken in from a kill situation to a loving environment. There adopted pictures shows the bad shape when they were rescued from what they look like today. I do a small monthly donation that does make a difference and glad I can do it. We are always updated on the condition of the animals and what is going on. Cindy and her staff do such great work and should be rewarded for it. I wished I was closer so that I could volunteer.
