Nonprofit Overview
Mission: The mission of fenway libraries online is to support education and research of its member institutions through a state-of-the-art library system that delivers reliable and relevant information services and promotes resource sharing. In fy14 we added a shared e-book collection (ebook library) with approximately 100,000 titles and began discussions to formulate a shared e-book collection policy.
Programs: Library services- we served our 10 member libraries with a portfolio of technology services (ils, link resolution, image database, proxy servers, institutional repository,image catalog, etc. ). These libraries include approximately 25,000 students and faculty who have access to these services.
virtual catalog- under contract to the commonwealth of massachusetts, we provide hosting and helpdesk support for the statewide virtual catalog. This online library resource is available to all residents of the statethrough the services of their 410 public, academic, school and special libraries. Also, during this fiscal year we continued to implement new software to replace the current system. This project is being funded by an lsta grant.
