Feeding the Fosters is an organization that is so much more than just an organization. They came to us in a time of need when we were fostering. They provided us with more than just meals, they provided us with love, strength, hope, and friendships. They gave us a village of other foster families that understood what we were going through and walked alongside of us through our journey. Each holiday was met with donations beyond imagination for our family. Now being on the board, it’s wonderful to be able to be a part of giving back to something that carried us through our years as foster parents. We can not say enough good things about Feeding the Fosters!!
Four years ago I heard the testimony about a group that provides meals for foster families in my community. Fosters parents have the hardest job in the world. They have young children come into their home who have been removed from their biological families. Foster parents have to take these children to doctors appointments, therapy appointment, get them enrolled in school. Sometimes even help them get clothes that will fit. They comfort them when they cry , help them with their homework, and so much more. It has been my privilege over the last four years to prepare meals for families in the area. it is so nice to arrive with the meal and see how excited the children are wanting to know for dinner or better yet what’s for dessert. Or see the look of relief on the foster parents face when they realize they don’t have to make for dinner that night. This is one of those times in my life when it truly has been more blessed to give them to receive.
I love being a part of this organization. I love cooking and providing a meal in order to give a family the gift of time as they have such busy days. It is such a joy to see the little ones get exited when they see you coming.

To say fostering is hard is an understatement. It comes with a lot of challenges, ones you could never see coming. Plans are a joke sometimes and juggling a crazy schedule is almost guaranteed. But when you have an amazing organization like this one that helps provide meals, experiences we can all enjoy together and random needs (some you don’t even know to vocalize) things feel a little less chaotic. The love shown by this organization and its donors helps not only the kids in our care to feel loved, but us and our bios as well. Feeding the Fosters has also helped me personally connect with other foster moms and those connections have been huge for me. It’s been an amazing community to be apart of and we are beyond thankful to be apart of it!
We were new to fostering and did not realize the amazing community out there supporting foster families. Feeding the fosters has become an amazing part of our family and we 100% couldn't do this journey of fostering without them. ❤️ So much love!!!!
We have been a foster family for 7 years. Feeding the Fosters has come along side us in the last 2 years to support us. They are amazing! The community of prayer, resources and weekly meals is amazing. The connections with people in your community that care for you and the children you serve is a wonderful resource that all foster parents should have. As a family we love to offer new children in our home "experiences " feeding the foster has the same vision and helps in whatever way they can to make those experiences memorable. A++ in my book!
We thought we were done being foster parents after a particularly rough sibling group. But feeding the fosters has really helped us say yes again and again!! The meals always arrive on the exact days we need it... Foster parenting comes with so many appointments, behavioral specialists, therapists, sometimes psychologists, school meetings, etc. But it truly is easy to say yes to another child when you have a village behind you ready to help out with meals, gift cards, adventures. It's amazing!!! Thank you feeding the fosters!!
Feeding The Fosters has been such a huge support system for our family during the last 3 years of our fostering journey. This amazing organization and its devoted volunteers has provided us delicious meals on busy nights, gifted us family friendly experiences, bestowed beautiful gifts and supported us in more ways than I can count! We will be forever grateful to FTF for all of the love and assistance we’ve received!
Food not only nourishes the body but also the soul, and that is exactly what Feeding the Fosters has done for our family. I will forever be grateful for this wonderful organization and for every single volunteer that is and was involved in serving. FTF showed up for our family in so many crucial moments and allowed us to care for several children, even those that were unplanned or “just for one night." It wasn’t only about the meals that were provided (even though they were delicious and always very thoughtful), but also the community, prayers, love, and support that they poured into our family.

We have been foster parents for 20 years.. Two years ago we were blessed to become part of the amazing village known as Feeding the Fosters Nonprofit… we are blessed with meals, holiday meals, giftcards, experiences, but even more important than all of those things, we are given a level of support and compassion unlike anything we have ever experienced… good people that check in and pray with and for our family. I often wonder how we managed before we were blessed to become part of this amazing village….❤️❤️
FTF has been there for our family through so many hello’s and goodbye’s, birthdays, holidays, and “just because”. They are the village that we needed during some of our toughest moments and we are so thankful for them.

This organization has made fostering as a single mom possible! Through this organization I was able to take on a third foster child after completing my second adoption. Every meal, gift card, experience, etc. that is donated goes directly to impacting families caring for the most vulnerable children.

Amazing non profit that serves from the heart! We are so blessed to have found Feeding the Fosters. As a family we look for ways to have our children involved in serving others. Creating meals as a family to help another family has been one of those ways, and Feeding the Fosters provides that opportunity. We also help with the Blessing Bag drive and this is a tradition now in our family every Christmas and Easter we look forward to. Feeding the Fosters not only feeds busy families but creates a community whereby both volunteers and foster families communicate, share needs and support each other. I have been a volunteer for years and have seen first hand the great impact this organization has especially on the children. Holiday meals are provided. Donations of clothing, furniture and clothing are arranged on the website. Sign up genius is used to schedule meal deliveries. The foster community depends on this outreach and are very grateful
My teenage daughters founded this nonprofit a few years ago and it has been a tremendous gift that my family has had the privilege of watching grow. We have served over 75 foster families and together with more than 2500 volunteers we made more than 60,000 meals. The gift of a meal means that a family can enjoy dinner time as a family conversing around a dinner table, or spend more time doing homework, having bio visits, in medical and therapy appointments and so on. The joy that I feel from making a meal with love, and delivering it to a busy foster mom, coupled with the hugs from a foster child is indescribable. Cooking with my own children in our kitchen, teaching them family recipes and sharing the knowledge and traditions which are then passed on to another family are gratifying. Watching the foster children be able to celebrate with a birthday cake or enjoy a traditional holiday meal are reasons we continue to donate to the organization. I am humbled to be a small part of this amazing village and serve the foster community through Feeding the Fosters Inc.
