I volunteer at this center which offers groceries, fresh produce, and help with social services to those in need in our community. We have a great group of caring volunteers, and very few paid staff. We serve about 100 families a day, and everyone leaves with a cart of groceries, including meats and fresh veggies. Love this center and the great people !!

Causes: Emergency Assistance, Human Services
Mission: A faith based group of individuals bound together by a commitment to assist the neediest of our neighbors, supported by the generosity of individuals, churches, businesses, interested organizations and associations. To provide temporary and limited food assistances.
Programs: We provide support to low income families and individuals in the south lake county area. We assist families with food, educational training, cooking classes and partnering with other organizations to assist our clients with filing applications for food stamps, medicaid and emergency assitance. We distribute food from our location four days a week and monthly mobile food drop locations at both ends of south lake county. We utilize the services of more than 175 volunteers, voluteering more than 13423 hours and in 2017 served a total of 19234 combined individuals and families, distributing over 604,656 pounds of food. Of the food donated the center received 176,688 pounds of donated food.
