Causes: Environment, Garden Clubs
Mission: The purpose is to further the interest in and knowledge of gardening and related subjects among it's members and in the community at large through lectures, exhibits, workshops and civic involvement.
Programs: The washington garden club has supported its responsibilities as a tax exempt organization through its monthly programming, civic activities, participation and support of national and state garden organizations, and scholarships. Its civic duties include education and expertise to benefit town property; help in planting, maintaining, and distributing harvest in the community vegetable garden for those in need; hosting public and club programs exploring issues such as conservation, changing environmental impact, horticulture and floriculture; and has integrated species competition sweepstakes and exhibition photography to develop skill in plant observation and hands-on experience.
