Mission: Farm table foundation, inc. Seeks to grow local food culture by shifting people's experience and understanding of food so that soil, farms, and habitat are seen as the foundation of individual and community health.
Programs: Training and education: farm table foundation operates an education and training program which provided paid employment training for 52 individuals in amery, wi. The program provided all trainees with knowledge of locally grown and supplied food served at the commercial kitchen and food service facility/restaurant operated by the foundation. In 2017 the foundation and its trainees served (and educated at least half of) the facility's 25,414 guests who experienced the locally grown, prepared, and served meals which were a product of this education and training program.
seminars & classes: farm table foundation engages the broader public in educational programming. The organization offered 42 classes in 2017. The classes educated 582 students from 3 years old up to 80 years of age on subjects such as kids yoga, plant identification classes, instructional organic cooking classes, and farm tours and exploration.

Yet seeds are under threat from laboratory alterations, corporate control, and government regulation. The farm table foundation works in the field every season growing, selecting, harvesting, and storing seed of ancient varieties that exhibit vigor, productiveness, and flavor. By doing so, the foundation is driving our seed varieties toward regional specialties that are unique, resilient, and abundant.
