Mission: The mission of farm safety 4 just kids is to promote a safe rural environment to prevent health hazards, injuries, and fatalities to children and youth. The organization accomplishes this mission by: - promoting rural safety awareness and education for (see sch o)children, youth, and their families. - serving as an advocate for providing safe play areas, role-modeling safe behaviors, promoting appropriate supervision and child care, and assigning age and ability appropriate tasks. - enhancing community involvement and collaboration. - combining education and advocacy to influence safe attitudes and behaviors. - promoting efforts to advance safer rural practices and equipment.
Programs: To inform and educate children and adults about farm safety and to promote public awareness campaigns about farm safety. In 2014, our outreach coordintors and chapter network delivered 365 community events to 309,000 children, youth and farm families, with more than 2,325 volunteers donating more than 14,025 hours of their time. In addition, they touched another 2,500,000 individuals through media interviews, press releases, trade shows, fairs, etc.
