Not only are the owners very knowledgeable about horses but they are the most down to earth people who are always willing to help rescue sick, malnourished, and damaged horses and bring them back to health with great care and loving. All of the horses in the ranch are given much attention while working with them on a consistent basis to enable them to be adopted by a loving family. They also are always there to aid during the most recent fires by showing up quickly to transport animals to their ranch for safe housing until they can be returned home while not asking for anything. I can’t say enough about Joel and Annette’s love for every single animal they work with! That’s why I picked this rescue to volunteer at. They are the best!

Amazing place and so thankful for these amazing people,,,after 8 years of giving up my horse to someone who promised to take care and love my horse, I never heard from her and years I tried to reach out to find out how she was but I never heard anything, until 8 years later I went to the first "Meet The Mustang " event at Far From Perfect Mustang Rescue and sure enough my girl was there and I'm so thankful for them going and answering that call to help a horse that was left alone running in a field, because if they didn't I would have never been reunited with my best friend and now I can share my friendship and my appreciation for everything they do freely to help give those that have been abused or abandoned, to help them get better and heal and find their forever home.

Far From Perfect not only rescues many horses, but also provides a great service to community youth who have an interest in equestrian activity. Joel, Annette and their son are working with the horses all day long every day of the week.
