Causes: Family Counseling
Mission: To provide services that advocate for, strenghten, and preserve the individual and the family through the provision of behavioral health/substance abuse outpatient treatment; infant adoption placement; reintergration of ex-offenders into the community through job readiness; and child abuse and neglect in-home services.
Programs: Counseling: provided 25,866 hours to individuals and families in need of behavioral health and substance abuse outpatient treatment in order for them to overcome their presenting issues and return to a pro-social life and/or improve their condition so that they may maintain a level of independent functioning in society. 79% of those individuals are at or below the poverty level and do not have the personal resources to obtain services and or treatment without financial assistance.
community reintegration/employment: provided 96 hours of employment preparation workshops to ex-offenders and non-offenders seeking to obtain employment; improve their economic circumstances and/or transition from public assistance. The organization stopped employment workshops in january 2017.
adoption: this department did not have success and was discontinued. There was one infant that was placed with a permanent family and two foster families were utilized to help the community through serving short-term foster care children.
