Mission: As a non-profit service organization dedicated to the elimination of illiteracy, we facilitate the creation of local, independent, and self- funded learning centers run by volunteers using the latest technological advances to deliver personal tutoring either in a center or in a virtual on-line reading and math tutoring program available in homes as well as in organized community centers. Each center (whether on-line or in a physical center) assists families and individuals to effectively read, write, and communicate in english and to become successful in mathematics with one- to-one tutoring assistance from trained volunteers, teachers, and parents.
Programs: We help parents and their families increase their reading and math skills through the use of materials available on-line and with volunteer tutors available in brick and mortar centers as well as with parents in the home. We also develop videos and other training materials to help parents teach children how to read, write, and become successful in mathematics. In addition we help communities set up their own centers and provide training and support for them as they become successful in helping the centers to produce independent learners.
