Programs: The organization served over 1679 student members in 79 chapters and achieved the following: provided opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life. Strengthened the function of the family as a basic unit of society. Encouraged democracy through cooperative action in the home and community. Encouraged individual and group involvement in helping achieve global cooperation and harmony. Promoted greater understanding between youths and adults. Provided opportunities for making decisions and for assuming responsibilites. Prepared for the multiple roles of men and women in today's society. Promoted family and consumer sciences and related occupations.
