Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection, Public & Societal Benefit
Mission: Our thorough analysis of community volunteer citizen science, scientific research, and collaboration with nuclear colleagues around the world enables Fairewinds Energy Education to highlight the human perspective of key stakeholders by working with local community groups and governmental leaders to illuminate the risks and benefits of energy sources used to produce electricity.
Results: Two peer-reviewed papers published about the migration of radioactive micro-particles in Japan. The first was published in 2017 by the Science of the Total Environment Journal (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.scitotenv.2017.07.091). The second was published in 2020 by the Journal of Environmental Engineering Science (https://doi.org/10.1089/ees.2020.0139).
