Mission: The fair trade educational fund (ftrn) seeks to improve peoples lives through fair trade alternatives by providing information, leadership, and inspiration. Ftrn gathers, develops, and disseminates educational resources to people and organizations interested in the movement to build a more just and sustainable world through fair trade.
Programs: We coordinate fair trade education events, such as world fair trade day every may which involves over 50,000 participants.
we provide fair trade educational resources and information, mainly through our website, which attracts over 70,000 unique visitors per year. We also distribute the definitive booklet on fair trade (over 65,000 copies distributed), as well as a children's book and wall calendar.
we facilitate dialogue and discussion about fair trade by participating in conferences organized by others, and by building alliances within the movement.
we maintain an active website which includes a wealth of information about fair trade, including news, events, videos, books, job listings, and academic articles. We host regularly scheduled webinars for fair trade advocates to discuss current issues in the movement and we organize fair trade stakeholder meetings for leaders in the movement to discuss the future of fair trade.
