Mission: To create a fun and dynamic hands-on learning environment that inspires imagination and curiosity.
Programs: The explorium had 52,064 visitors during fiscal year 2017. This included: individual/family visitor, school groups, in-house program participants, children attending camps, those participating in overnights. The explorium reached 9,501 children through a variety of outreach methods off-site. These activities included: lexington legends day, fayette county schools science fairs, museum go round, field trips to go, assemblies, july 4 festivities, may fest, wet and wild wednesdays, and other fairs and festivals throughout central kentucky.
