Causes: Crime & Law, Rehabilitation Services for Offenders
Mission: To prepare the disenfranchised groups, i.e., the poor, underprivileged and ex-offenders with 21st century work skills, so essential to breaking the cycle of recidivism in our urban and rural communities.
Results: 19 years ago, James E. Whitfield, Prisoner #03425-041 walked free from prison after serving 22.5 years in State and Federal Prison from 1983 to 2005. With an ABA approved Legal Document and Business background, he was virtually unemployable until 2010, after a stroke left him a Below Knee Amputee. 3 years later, he founded Ex-Offenders Resource Network, Inc., and has personally funded this nonprofit as well as drafted all legal documents to register, incorporate, structure, educational platforms for the betterment of others. In Our 9 year history we have served approximately 14,000 individuals. Ex-Offenders Resource Network, Inc., Staff and Volunteers receive NO INCOME. Our Founder/CEO, James E. Whitfield, supports the operations of this useful and helpful community and Global service with his own funds.
