I met Ronniee-Marie in November 2024 at a popup event. I didn't know that she ran a non-profit for families affected by cancer, including herself. We shared our stories and I thought to myself I need to help in some way. As my mom always said, "pay it forward." I lost my mom in 1995 to this horrible disease.
Friday, January 24 was the first of many birthday celebrations for the families. I spoke to a few of the people that attended and my heart felt so filled after talking to them. Everyone's story is different, but we all have the same thing in common...cancer. As time goes by, I hope that I can help in more ways.
This is my story and if you ever want to stop by the office and hang out, I am here every Tuesday. May God bless everyone who has been affected and remember you are not alone.
I was referred to Erik's Way by Walk With Sally, another organization that helps families affected by cancer. This was after my wife passed away in August of 2023 after battling with Triple Negative Breast Cancer for a year. I have an 8 year old son, Daniel, and a 4 year old daughter, Camila. My mom, Rosa, also lives with us.
We have had nothing but positive experiences with Erik's Way! The kids love to attend the holiday events and making cookies, movie nights, getting books from the free library and interacting with other children and families.
Thank you to Ronniee-Marie and all of the volunteers for everything that they do to support families!
I am a community nurse helping those who have or are currently battling cancer.
This organization helps people and theire fmailies/friends by providing a layer of
emotional, and psychological social support.
People here have a place to vent, to engage with others and over all find tgat love and support they needs during their unknown days which kay ahead.
Thank-you for this organization.
And God continue to bless all the efforts made to provide for others.
