it has been a great pleasure to work with equipmoz, learn from the challenges, and be able to share a little of the knowledge I have with everyone.
I'm most impressed with the initiative and creativity the staff and directors of Equip Mozambique show in meeting many of the pressing issues of Mozambique. For example, creating the AIDai app so that citizens and agencies would be able to find crucial resources in a timely manner in the midst of the chaotic and fluid aftermath of Cyclone Adai. To deal with the pandemic and to help people avoid unnecessary trips to clinics where diseases can be transmitted easily, they have developed the app called Consultare. This helps people find needed medical help without making fruitless trips and increasing the spread of communicable diseases.

I love this team so dedicated to the growth and development of the people of Mozambique. The library they founded is helping to equip men and women for greater service to others as well as preparation for their vocations.
The sewing school represents a win for all involved: the women who learn a skill and are able to begin a home-based business that supports their family financially as well as providing beautiful and necessary products for use in their community as well as around the world.
Young Mozambicans are trained in audiovisual and website design helping many in their own country to further their own businesses.
I love seeing this growing organization provide so much to make a difference in the lives of those within the organization as well as those who are served by them directly or indirectly. It is a great joy to be part of Equip Mozambique!
It is truly an agency for the transformation of lives and the training of leaders for transformation, beginning with their life cycle.
Epuip Mozambique is an organization that is being love in radically practical ways to the beautiful people of Mozambique. They
are building and providing community, jobs and tools empowering Mozambiquans to bring development and positive change to their own communities. I was able to witness and participate in this first hand on a visit to Mozambique last year. Wonderful change is happening though this organization on a humble, grass roots level though "ordinary" things like teaching disadvantaged people some skills with which they can support themselves, which in turn effects the whole economy of this wonderful developing nation.
Equip Mozambique is extremely focused on developing the people that they serve and their methods are focused around this.
I have been able to observe and participate with Equip Mozambique since it began. The people involved with this nonprofit are inspired, resourceful and passionate about helping people by training them in a various job skills to be able to break the cycle of poverty in their lives. Equip Mozambique has been able identify needs in their city as well and have started a library there and have begun developing a graphic medical app for people to educate them in basic health needs and home diagnoses for common illnesses and diseases.
I have spent time in Mozambique with the Equip Mozambique team and have met many of the people they have helped, have heard their stories, and have been so impressed by the changes in their lives. Not only does EM do job training but they help these people in many areas of their lives. It is amazing to see how much hope they have for their future! I will continue to help this team and look forward to seeing them grow and be able to help more and more people.
The work that Equip Mozambique is doing impacts several areas of greatest need there. They are teaching not just practical, income producing skills in one of the most impoverished countries in the world, but transferring solid life wisdom and leadership training that is scarcely available.
When you meet some of the people who have been helped by Equip Moz and hear their stories, you see transformed lives. They are people who had little or no reason to hope in their future, but now are able to live meaningful lives and have joy in the midst of extremely difficult circumstances.
The Equip Moz team members are dedicated to reaching out to not just those in their immediate area, but as various needs and opportunities come up, they are pulling together resources to help meet needs far beyond their city. They have the energy and creativity to build solutions to immediate and serious problems across Africa as well as helping people learn to trust God completely with their lives through the Bible app and library.
Equip Mozambique is dedicated to helping change every aspect of the lives they touch, restoring their dignity and self respect. They are not just providing much needed training, but helping completely rebuild lives. Visit them if you can and please help support their work, they are truly meeting Jesus' invitation: "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
We had been involved with Equip Mozambique stateside for a few years and excited about the distribution of the Bible through the the app Fonte da Vida and helping of widows with the Restoring Hope Sewing School. Our family traveled to Mozambique in 2017 to see the happenings first hand. It's very exciting to see first hand exactly how much Equip Mozambique is impacting so many people directly every day.
We were able to share in the great joy of a sewing school celebration where graduates had worked and honed their skill well enough to earn their own sewing machine! In a city where there are so few jobs, Equip Mozambique has trained local people to train their fellow Mozambicans to be able to earn a living.
Exceptional ministry of high integrity. Along with other ministry and training activities, they produce a Bible app that will eventually include all languages throughout Africa. They help widows and poor women through a sewing school and sewing equipment upon graduation to enable them to support their families. They distribute sewn items to help support the school. Donations to this ministry accomplish a lot.
This nonprofit is God-Breathed! The leadership each individualy seek God's will, value the word of God (Try their revolutionary Fonte daVida Bible app!), look to best practices and give unselfishly to the forgotten. This is truly a visionary nonprofit.
What has really impressed me about this organization is the direct impact their work has on the everyday life of Mozambicans. I think this happens because Mozambicans are involved in both the discussion of the issues and the creation of solutions to problems. The Sewing schools, the IT training, the Bible App, the Library and most recently the Medical App are real practical responses to real needs within the community. Equip Mozambique has discovered the secret to empowering people to rise above their circumstances rather than serving in a way that maintains the status quo.
I have really enjoyed working with the Equip Mozambique team. Everyday, it's a look at how they can improve their city and country.
