Epworth Village Inc

Programs: Residential: the epworth village residential program encompasses four cottages with varying levels of treatment, serving children ages 12 to 18 who are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral problems. The residential department works in close conjunction with the epworth village therapy department to provide "family centered treatment. " while in the residential setting, the child is provided with a structured environment ensuring a stable atmosphere within which to learn more effective strategies. Importance is placed on ensuring that the child and family's voice is heard, providing validation to them as true members of the team. As everyone works together, the greatest change occurs, moving these youth to becoming productive young men.

epworth village learning center: the epworth village learning center is a k-12 interim program school under rule 18 of the nebraska department of education. This service is open to youth that reside within commuting distance of york, ne, that have been removed from their traditional school. Goals of evlc include: provide a structured environment for learning, increase self-efficiency and self-control, effectively assess youth reading and math capabilities, address areas of deficiency in reading and math, help students meet nebraska education standards, provide and direct youth to academic support, ensure students have self-control strategies to return to their traditional schools, and develop successful aftercare plan.

foster care: epworth village serves families and children who have experienced a crisis situation within their own home and need temporary assistance. Family parterns, visitation spcecialists, and foster homes provide security, teaching, consistency and safety for children and work as part of a professional team to help families. They are supported through 24 hour assistance, initial training and on-going education, in-home interventions, and parent support groups.
