Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: Rescue, rehabilitate, re-train and re-home "at risk" horses that have been abandoned, abused and neglected. Educate the public, owners and future horse owners of the risks that face our American Icons when they are given to the wrong people and sold to auctions that could potentially land them in the slaughter pipeline where they will meet a very inhumane ending.
Results: Currently we are looking for property to build our establishment. The Boarding facility was needing repairs that endangered the horses and humans. The horses are in foster care and fairing well, but there's others needing help. Dakota is fairing very well these days in Foster care where 2 other pasture mates join her until arrangements are made for her to come to galveston county.
