Mission: Encino franklin fields, inc. (eff) is engaged in the charitable and educational purposes of maintaining fields and other facilities for youth sporting leagues and cycling as a means to promote youth instruction in sports for recreational purposes and general community benefit.
Programs: Eff maintains and improves fields and other facilities on land consisting of 28 acres that it leases for $1/year from the united states army corps of engineers. . The space of the above fields and facilities are licensed to six different non-profit sporting organizations (5 of which are 501(c) (3) organizations) for their use. Five of the organizations promote and organize youth leagues in baseball and softball. The sixth licensee provides training for bicycle racing. Additionally, each organization hosts and supports special events for its members and for the community, such as softball and baseball tournaments. Approximately 1,000 people participate in the various activities and events organized by the six licensees.
