Mission: It is the sole purpose of the Ende, Menzer, Walsh & Quinn Retirees' Widows' and Children’s Assistance Fund to provide financial assistance to the neediest widows and orphans of members of the Chicago Fire Department from the resources accumulated by the organization.
Results: In 2013, 672 widows and 80 orphaned children of deceased Chicago Firefighters and Paramedics received a gift check from the Ende Menzer Walsh and Quinn Retirees’ Widows’ and Children’s Assistance Fund. The fund distributed $612,500 in tax-free assistance.
Target demographics: neediest widows and children of deceased members of the Chicago Fire Department.

Programs: an annual tax-free distribution to our neediest widows and children at Christmas. The Fund is also able to provide immediate assistance after the loss of a parent who is an active member of the Chicago Department.
