One of the best, and best-run non-profits in the Florida panhandle. The Emerald Coast Autism Center (ECAC) began with a staff of four teacher/therapists in August 2009. They've grown to nearly 50 staff members today, and are one of the largest and most impactful autism centers in the Southeast US.
Over a dozen colleges and universities send graduate students to ECAC to be trained by some of the most skillful and knowledgable professionals in the field. Numerous families have moved to the Florida panhandle from outside the state, specifically to enroll a child at ECAC.
Much of ECAC's fundraising is dedicated to providing scholarships to help parents who might not otherwise be able to access the kind of outstanding therapy and education services ECAC provides. The closer you look the more impressed you'll be. I highly recommend calling and asking for an appointment to tour the facility and learn from its leaders just how they've made such a large impact on the autism community in such a short time.
