Mission: A cornerstone of the community since 1982, our mission is three-fold: - to increase self-sufficiency within the latino community - to empower individuals to achieve a better quality of life - to promote mutual understanding and respect among cultures
Programs: Community strengthening services includes a broad array of services that support the basic needs in the latino community. Services include eviction prevention, rapid rehousing assistance for homeless families, navigation and assessment services and permanent supportive housing services for single adult homeless individuals. Additionally, the agency provides information and assistance/referrals, social and health services navigation, utilities assistance, case management, snap outreach and enrollment, latino elders programming, work force development and jobs placement, career coaching, resume building and health insurance registration for uninsured children.
school based services includes school based after school academic support and recreational programming, food pantries, transportation services, social service navigation, community health work, adult education and youth intensive academic mentorship.
project unica unica provides comprehensive services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Services include advocacy, case management, safety planning, system navigation and support, housing navigation, placement and retention, mental health services for survivors and their children, sexual assault case management, community health work and prevention services.
