Mission: Ef provides a transformational experience leading to lifetime engagement in a global network. Ef links and empowers outstanding leaders from around the world, enabling them to achieve real world impact across sectors and borders.
Programs: Innovation program - the 2014 innovation program brought together 21 fellows from 15 countries to reach out and collaborate in their respective fields. In addition to individual meetings in their professional fields, they participated in group meetings and activities designed to foster dialogue and challenges and opportunities.
multi-nation program (mnp) -in 2014, the mnp program brought together 24 fellows from 22 countries for seven weeks of individualized professional and leadership itineraries. Fellows traveled throughout the united states to meet with leaders in business, government, non-governmental organizations, media and academia.
global fellowship network - fosters connections and engagement around the globe. This is accomplished through a variety of activities ranging from international conferences to internet-based networking systems. In furtherance of support for the ef fellowship network, ef hosts and/or subsidizes selected conferences, held either in the u. S. Or abroad, in addition to the international annual recognition of "ef day. " this practice is included in ef's business plan and is first approved by the finance and administration committee, then authorized by the board.
usa fellows - nine usa fellow were supported in 2014: one fellow from boston to china (taiwan); one fellow from washington, dc to brazil; two fellows from st. Louis, one to finland and new zealand, and the second to indonesia & malaysia; two fellows from raleigh/durham, one to jordan and turkey, and the second to germany; one fellow from lexington, ma to korea and vietnam; one fellow from chicago to australia; one fellow from san francisco to indonesia. The nominations for fellowships for u. S. Citizens were sought through an intensive and targeted outreach campaign, including letters to agriculture, new england, philadelphia, research triangle north carolina and st. Louis steering committee members and other community leaders. Recruitment was also supplemented nation-wide by soliciting nominations from both u. S. And international fellows.
