Mission: Support flint residents in growing and accessing healthy food
Programs: Urban food gardening training class series--teaches the required tactics of home and community food gardening. Thirty five county wide participants signed up for the course, which included a notebook and weekly materials
a health soil garden talk workshop, with 71 particpants attending a 3 hour presentation on nutrition, soil health, and food production. Created a garden lead safety flyer as a resource to clients in light of the flint water crisis
10th annual food garden tour, with 149 participants visiting 15 gardens featuring innovative gardening practices. 1,776 pounds of vegetables were donated for people in need.
