EOWSKI! has provided individuals and families in the Edge of the Wilderness Communities at all ages and stages of life with cross country ski equipment to lease for winter, cross country ski meet ups and lessons for all ages and abilities at area ski trails, an annual candle light ski, sled n snowshoe event at Scenic State Park, near Bigfork, MN and biking experiences for youth in summer or fall. You can find EOWSKI! sharing cross country skiing with folks new to/or familiar with the sport at area festivals and events such as the Marcell Family Center's Winter Frolic, Saturday afternoons at Scenic State Park, or as a special outing for Bigfork School students. EOWSKI! works in partnership with Minnesota Youth Ski League (MYSL), Central Cross Country Skiing (CXC), Get Fit Itasca, Itasca Trail Sports, Bigfork Valley Community Foundation, Bigfork Valley, North Itasca Electric Co-Op "Round Up" program, The American Birkebeiner Ski Foundatioin (ABSF), Northern Lights Nordic Ski Club, the MN DNR and MN State Parks, The Parks and Trails Council of MN, Northland Outdoor Recreation Land Use Alliance (NORLUA) and others. EOWSKI! operates solely on an all-volunteer basis and depends on donations to serve the public in removing barriers to access various modes of trail use and recreation in the Edge of the Wilderness Communities (such as, but not limited to cross country/nordic skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, nordic walking, and off road cycling such as fat bike and mountain bike riding, bike packing and gravel bike riding) to pursue/achieve greater all-around physical and mental wellness and appreciation and stewardship for the outdoors, and to connect folks and build community.
