Causes: Community Foundations, Philanthropy
Mission: The Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation is about Local Leadership... overseeing Local Assets... meeting Local Needs. Our mission is to improve the quality of life in the Eastern Panhandle by building permanent endowment to benefit Jefferson, Berkeley and Morgan counties.
Target demographics: Donors create endowed funds to support favorite nonprofit organizations and charitable causes in perpetuity.
Direct beneficiaries per year: More than 50 students receive scholarships, 40 nonprofit organizations receive grants, and a dozen donors establish endowed funds.
Geographic areas served: The Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia serving donors and charities in Jefferson, Berkeley, and Morgan counties.
Programs: Youth and Education Grants, scholarships, and programs to encourage community collaboration.
