Mission: Planning and participation in activities to increase safety and reduce fire hazards in the eastern madera county area.
Programs: The eastern madera county fire safe council inc. Works on a myriad of fuel reduction, education and outreach projects. The 2016 projects included the following:1. Willow creek phase ii - 2 miles long & 200' wide, 380 homes protected. Protecting $114,000,000 valued property. Project ended march, 2016. 2. Blue river consolidated fuel break - 10 miles long and 200' wide, 875 community members protected. Protecting $67,200,000 valued property. Project extended through april, 2017.
