Programs: The east georgia health cooperative inc. Is a non-profit entity whose mission is to enhance the access, scope and viability of health care services in the region of east central georgia in which it serves. The organization's membership consists of various sectors of the health care field, including hospitals, community health centers, rural health clinics and affilitated physicians. The organization's membership pools resources in order to provide local service delivery of services to the area's residents previously available only in distant urban areas. By increasing the availability of services within the geographical area served by eghc, services are made available to residents that historically have not had access to those services. The organization's vision is an integrated network of rural providers delivering quality low-cost primary and specialty care within the local communities, and supported where appropriate by advantageous links with outside suppliers such as urban tertiary care centers.
