Mission: Eagle Ridge Institute, known to friends as "ERI," was founded in 1985 by John Mayfield, a divinity graduate and Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor. Since the 1960's, John had frequently observed substance abuse as the root of many youth and family problems. For this reason, ERI started as a substance abuse treatment center and training institute. Today, ERI has over 16 major programs that serve over 1,000 clients weekly. While substance abuse remains a core issue, ERI has grown to address additional community needs. The agency strongly believes in a holistic and integrated approach to service provision.
